Be Kind

Let’s guard the source of our joy. Imagine if we’ve been craving the whole week for our favorite food/ice cream / cake / pizza. (yes I know. I do A LOT of food analogies hahahahahaha… Don’t you wanna be friends now?)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So anyway.. Where was I?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Ah yes, food. So something good happened and we went ahead and indulged ourselves with our favorite nomnoms. I swear I will walk home holding on that box of treats as if they’re pure gold. Hahahaha.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

But deep inside us, in the quiet corner of our hearts, there lies joy. And we carry it with us day in and day out. I believe joy is the salt that makes love flavorful. Haven’t you heard of the line give and love joyfully?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So let’s guard our joy. Especially when we create and we put our stuff out there. And it can be pretty overwhelming and also daunting when we start to compare our works with that of others. We wouldn’t compare our stories with that of others yeah? We have our own stories to tell. And each one is worth knowing.

So let’s be kind to ourselves. I’m saying this to myself too, “Dee, be kind to Dee.”
