Thank You to the awesome lady behind this shop, Serene. An afternoon spent with beautiful light, beautiful girls, and beautiful clothes. Awesome. An understatement.

The light was just luminous that afternoon. And to think that just a few hours before
there was such heavy rain. It was pouring. But after the rain subsided,
everything everywhere seems to hold a new promise of hope, beauty and …

a secret miracle.

Sometimes, God allows some washing to be done, so we could see more clearly with fresh eyes.
And no matter how dark and looming the clouds may be, it is still no match for the ray of light.

Family Ties| a little (sun)shine, marco and jynzoe

It was a rainy Saturday afternoon with mr. sun shyly peeking once in awhile behind dark clouds. I had just finished with a family session earlier that morning (where the sun was out and shining with all it’s might! hello unpredictable weather!) and I was about to meet with Shine, Marco and cute bumblebee  Jynzoe for their first family shoot.

We had lunch first with Shine hoping to kill time while waiting for the weather to get a little chirpier. We picked up the boys afterwards at Marco’s parent’s place. By this time the weather was slowwwwwwwllllyyyy showing some signs of cooperating with our plans.

Thankfully a little after 1pm, the sun was shining oh so merrily and off we went and happily shoot away! Jynzoe was so cute with his crochet bumblebee attire, which his grandma (or Lola in Filipino) made just for him. Love love love love.

I am so happy to do this session for them. And even more happier that they liked the photos and used them during  Jynzoe’s christening last November.
Thank you again Shine , Marco and  Jynzoe !

p.s: and look what gorgeous Shine left on my Facebook page! Heart warmers lasts for a long long time. 🙂

Couplehood | Engagements | Qichuan & ChinWen

I can’t wait to attend the wedding of this lovely couple this coming weekend. Their 3rd and final celebration. What’s more awesome than getting married three times to the love of your life? Waking up next to them everyday. ♥

The weather here in Singapore had been pretty uncooperative lately. So it was already drizzling a bit when we started the shoot. Dark clouds looming and the sun playing peek-a-boo with you, not really what I will say a perfect weather to shoot. BUT, as I often say, it’s not the location nor the weather or the props… it’s the couple themselves. These two brought the sunshine with them and was more than willing to brave the weather with me… poofy gown and all!

When the rain poured down it’s mightiest later in the morning, we went inside the Marina Bay Sands and changed the plan of shooting mostly outdoor. Hahaha I asked the couple to carry with them their luggages (where they put all the attires for the day; clothes, shoes, accessories), and pretend like they’re on the run. And Chinwen cheerily agreed and send “We’re like eloping!”. And I couldn’t be more happier.

Thank you both for trusting me (again) to take your couple photos. I have to post their session in two parts, I just can’t lower down the number on my favorites. I have to share as much as I can! ahaha.

Please enjoy the first set of QiChuan and ChinWen’s photos. Here’s to forever and always.

haha now this shot is our first shot of the day. We we’re on our way to our first spot when the waiter from a nearby restaurant handed Qichuan and Chinwen two glasses of champagne courtesy of the owner. What a way to start the day!

Cebu Portraits | Eliz @18 {Sneak Peek}

Today is where your book begins,
 The rest is still unwritten
~ Natasha Bedingfield, Unwritten
Just a few days before my short vacation in Cebu will end, this lovely young lady dropped me an message in facebook asking if I could do a session with her for her 18th birthday. A debut is kind of a big deal, coming of age birthday. So it’s not just a “one-of-those-shoots” that I do. It is personal. It’s personal for her, and it is VERY personal to me because she’s the youngest (and only) daughter of my Ninong Celso and Ate Cathy.
Let’s just say that these two are extremely special people in my life. Especially now.
You know how it is that because of certain circumstances in your life, you find your path crossing with awesome people, and you are just really really really grateful.
That’s how awesome our God is, when we encounter bumps on the road (and we all will), He places road markers and pit stops along the way to remind us that this journey He sets out for us to take is beautiful.
Anyway, I will tell you more about the shoot on my later posts. I know I’ve been posting quite a lot of sneak peeks  (especially in facebook), and promise I will post more about them on later dates. Hang on with me lovelies.
Eliz is so pretty, shooting her was such a breeze. 🙂
ahaha and it didn’t hurt that her mom, Ate Cathy, was there during the shoot ready with sandwiches and soda’s in between takes. Awesome!
