Oh to be young! Haha, somehow I feel old doing shoots like this. Well…. i might not be THAT old… but i must admit, I have always been an old soul. Nostalgic, sentimental, pensive.
Eliz wanted to do a portrait session to somehow commemorate her turning 18. I asked her what her theme party is going to be, she said it’s candyland. Full blast of colors with Katy Perry inspired costumes and decors. So I thought, to balance it out, it would be fitting to give her a mellowed down portrait shoot. Light but with a kick of personality and a drizzle of drama. Not too much just enough. I spilled the idea on her and she immediately lights up. That’s my girl! 🙂
She’s 18 now. And this is my way of reminding her…so that when she turns 28 or 38 or 48…. that at 18, she didn’t just turned into a lady or a woman… she was beautiful. And she will always be. And she never ought to forget that.
