I don’t know if it is just me, but usually (if I am not that busy and my mind is not processing 10 things at once) I imagine what kind of people or couples are behind the emails or sms or whatsapp that I get. Are they shy, conservative, fun, crazy, wouldn’t mind a little PDA? And the more we talk and details about the shoot are gathered, somehow the picture in my head gets a little bit clearer. And then I met with them and more often than not my “guess” is right.
It all started with an email by Andrea to me inquiring if I can do a portrait session for his girlfriend, Giulia, as his gift to her. A no occasion kind of gift, simply because you want to celebrate that person. Being a sappy girl that I am, I immediately went “Awwwww, this is just so sweet.”. How can I possibly say no to that. So after a few exchange of emails, we agreed to meet and finally meeting in person Andrea and Giulia, I got way too much excited and immediately asked, “Can we do a couple session as well?”. Hahaha. A bit thick faced on my part I know, but this two are not only gorgeous but very loving, sweet and tender towards each other. The kind whom I would love to document through photographs.
Giulia is not only beautiful, but equally smart as well. She bought along as a “prop” her “The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer” book. As she is doing research in this field. Not an easy read, but who wants easy when it is your passion right?
For now, here’s a short sweet session I did with Giulia. My beautiful Italian muse.
p.s: And to my question on whether we could do a couple session? I got a yes. Can’t wait to spend time with this two again.
