Melanie (or Melai) and Ge’s couple shoot would probably be one of the cutest and sweetest (and easiest!) session I’ve done for the year. And no it’s not because of the way the shoot was styled, the props or even the location. It’s just who they are as a couple. Laughter was on the roll the moment we started our first shot. I always adore how lovingly a guy would look at a girl when she is not watching. There’s just something in that that makes the old romantic in me sigh. And Ge’s look on Melai is definitely a big example of that. They’re playful, cute… and most of all loving towards each other. And I consider myself blessed to capture a tiny bit of that love.
Melai found me online while she was searching for a Singapore based photographer, **THANK YOU GOOGLE for sending inquiries my way!! LOL** So we started exchanging emails for the details, and she was going through my blog then suddenly she messaged me “Oh I didn’t know you were Filipino!!! Nice!!!”. It always makes me smile when I get that. It makes me feel grateful that my work speaks for me and not my background or where I’m from.
